A male juvenile and adult woman are dead after a crash on U.S. Highway 95 near Charleston Boulevard just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The auto crash happened around 7:39 p.m. Saturday. Nevada Highway Patrol troopers say that a Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling southbound on U.S. 95 when the left rear tire separated from the vehicle and entered the northbound travel lanes. According to state police, Kevin J. Gutzwiller, 33 years-old, of Hamilton, Indiana, died Saturday afternoon in an auto accident on snow-covered roads in Indiana on westbound I-74. Mr. Gutzwiller died after being trapped under the vehicle that driver Hannah L. May, 25 years-old, of Okeana, Indiana, lost control. The accident occurred at around 4:40 p.m. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled over before coming to rest, inverted and off the roadway. A fatal accident on the Dallas North Tollway near Walnut Hill, Texas has killed a local teenager. Around 10:15 p.m., a white Mercedes car was traveling north on the Dallas North Tollway near Walnut Hill when authorities say traffic was slowing or stopped for a lane closure in a work zone. Police have not yet determined why, but the driver of the Mercedes, 29 year-old Terrelwin Jones, did not slow down and struck several vehicles, including a Ford pickup, a black Toyota pickup, an Acura and a Nissan Maxima.
The first car to be hit was the 2012 Acura TL being driven by 40 year-old Neil Delaney. 15 year-old, Guy Delaney was a passenger in that car. The Acura caught fire after the impact. Both Neil and Guy were taken to the Parkland Hospital. Guy died as a result of injuries he suffered from the impact. Neil sustained non-life-threatening injuries and Jones was not injured. The occupants of the Nissan Maxima, Toyota Tacoma, and Ford F-150 also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
